Tent cards with member names and hats for meeting roles

For club meetings of Saint Al’s Toastmasters we have 2-1/2” tall by 8-1/2” wide tent cards with our names. Last September we added another level to them - 1” high pink ‘hats’ identifying our roles. They let everyone see both who’s who, and what they are doing.

Table Topics is the impromptu speaking section of the meeting, where members answer questions prepared by the Table Topics Master. He is supposed to make sure that everyone gets to speak. The ‘hats’ help him begin by asking other members who don’t have an assigned role.

Recently we had a meeting where copies of the agenda did not appear as usual. It didn’t really matter though – since the pink hats worked like a backup agenda. Both the Toastmaster and General Evaluator could instantly see who was doing what.
